Formerly known as the Cowra Music and Dramatic Society, Cowra Theatre Company is a vibrant community-based performing arts group with a rich legacy of entertaining and inspiring audiences across the Central West.
For decades, we've brought together passionate performers, musicians, and theatre-makers to create unforgettable live experiences — from classic musicals and plays to original local productions.
Our new name reflects a renewed vision: to expand our artistic reach, engage more deeply with the community, and continue growing as Cowra’s home for live theatre. Whether you're on stage, behind the scenes, or in the audience, there's a place for everyone at Cowra Theatre Company.
“The M&D Society gave me a great first experience on stage. From a 3 year old in my first show, I knew that I loved to be on stage and the M & D society gave me the confidence to continue to keep active in the performing arts where I continue to learn dance, drama and music. I developed confidence and stage skills working in the productions and I can’t wait to be involved again.””
“I have been part of the Cowra M&D since 1986, it is a great organisation that offers affordable family-friendly entertainment whether you’re in the audience or on stage.”
